In commemoration of Remembrance Day coming up next Tuesday, 11 November 2025, we have had a story published in the Examiner Newspapers. The story features Anne LeFevre, our President, and her father Lance Corporal Douglas LeFevre of the 2/28th infantry battalion. Douglas LeFevre saw military service during the Siege of Tobruk from 10 April 1941 through to 7 December 1941. We will remember them.
Lest we forget.

We have an amazing team of talented individuals working hard to bring Rats of Tobruk WA Remembrance Assoc. to life and promote our events.
Our 2025/26 Committee.
President/Chairperson: Anne LeFevre
Deputy Chair: Rick France
Secretary: Lyn Mitchell
Treasurer: Ron Mitchell
Committee Members:
Rick France, Margot Martin, Heather Davis, Bronwyn Dew, Glenda Wellman and Ross Woods.

Steve Wenban, an avid amateur Military Historian, was the guest speaker at the Association's recent AGM. His talk on the Siege of Tobruk came with a power point presentation and had the members enthralled with his interesting information.

Steve used a quote by German Lieutenant General Erwin Rommel, better known as the Desert Fox, that epitomized the courage and tenacity of our Rats during the Siege of Tobruk in Libya in 1941 - Rommel said: "If I had to take Hell, I would use the Aussies to take it and the New Zealanders to hold it."

ROTWARA will be holding it's Annual General Meeting on
Sunday 19th October 2025 at RAAF, 2 Bull Creek Drive, Bull Creek.
1.00pm Arrivial for 1.30pm Start.
It's at this time when all the current committee stand down and a new committee is elected by the members.
We ask that you consider joining our committee to assist this association to move forward. After committing two years assisting this association to get up running, many of our current committee members have advised that they will not be standing for the
2025-26 committee.
Therefore, we are looking for new people to help move forward.
We only ask for the time you have free and not to overcommit.
Please find a nomination form for a committee position below.
You can bring your nomination form on the day.
We have a guest speaker Mr Steven Wenban.
The topic chosen is The Siege of Tobruk.
Afternoon tea will be serviced after our meeting. Hope to see you there.
